Messrs Cramer and Co. gave the fourth and last of a series of subscription Concerts, which were under the direction of Mr Edward De Selvier, at the above rooms on Monday evening….


Whilst in Ireland Edward went to law –

A case of considerable importance to the trade was decided in the Queen's Bench Division of the Irish High Court of Judicature on June 17. The decision was gained in an action by the plaintiff. Mr. De Selvier, a member of the firm of Cramer, Wood Co., to recover from the defendant, Mr. McNicoll, a commission agent on the Rathmines-road, a piano, value £45.  The facts of the case ...


He was married twice:  at St George, Hanover Square in 1864, to Anne Eliza Noss, known as Annie, who died in Ireland in 1886.


And , in 1887, to Martha Flicker, (born in Alverstoke is a parish in the borough of Gosport, Hampshire) also at St George, Hanover Square


Which raises another puzzle.  Records show a Martha De Selvier, born in Gosport, Hampshire, married to one Albert De Selvier, born in Russia.
