Rose Naylor was born in 1854 in Liverpool, to John Edward and Rebecca Mary Naylor.

In 1880 Rose Naylor married William Thompson Adair of the Royal Marines.[Later General Sir W T Adair] 27 January in London.

A VISITOR'S DEATH. - Funeral at St. Mary Magdalen

We regret to record the death of Mrs. Adair, wife of W. T. Adair, Assistant Adjutant-General, Royal Marines, which occurred St. Leonards (where the Colonel and his deceased lady were staying) on  the 28th of December 1903.

The funeral took place Thursday afternoon at St. Mary Magdalen Church.

The chief mourners included Colonel Adair qand other friends.  The Rector (the Rev. B. Clewes) officiated. Mr. presided at the organ. Psalm xxxix was chanted, the hymn, "Now the labourer's task is over" was sung.  The choir chanted the Nunc Dimittis as the coffin - covered with floral tributes — was borne from the the church. The interment was at the Borough Cemetery.

Sympathy will be felt with the relatives at their loss.
