Ewbank, William Withers.. Third son of Henry Ewbank. b. 7 August 1831, d. 18 September 1873

William Withers was involved in the business world of Port Adelaide, (JOHN HART and CO., Millers and Merchants, of Port Adelaide) later joining the church and was ordained in Adelaide as Curate at Christchurch, North Adelaide, Incumbent of St. Bartholomew's Church, Norwood.

Death of The Rev. W. W. EWBANK. - ……………….  The rev. gentleman, who graduated as M.A., and took honours at Cambridge, arrived in South Australia as a layman, and was for sometime a member of the firm John Hart & Co., Port Adelaide.  Shortly after his retirement from business he was ordained by the Lord Bishop of Adelaide and officiated as assistant at Christchurch, North Adelaide, but afterwards was appointed to the incumbency of Blakistan, where he resided for a considerable time.  The present Church at Balhannah was built during his incumbency.  Subsequently he became assistant minister at Trinity Church, Adelaide, and on the .[death].of the late Rev. D. J. Ibbetson succeeded to the incumbency of St. Bartholomew's, Norwood, which he filled for the remainder of his life.  Mr. Ewbank has left a widow (daughter of the late Ven. Archdeacon Woodcock) and three children.

Norwood, labourer was charged with burglariously breaking into a dwelling - house of Mrs. W. W. Ewbank, at Norwood, on December 12, with intent to commit a felony.
