GRAVES, Charles Atkins (1835 - 7th April 1918)

Artist and drawing teacher.


The Graves family moved at some point after 1851 from Kent to Hastings.

In 1861 Ann Graves is listed as an embroiderer, at no.2 Castle Hill Road.  Her unmarried brother Charles is at the same address in 1867.  It is possible other members of the family also resided there. (See 1881 census below.)
