Cemetery

• The Old Hastings Preservation Society (OHPS) has been awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to undertake a project at Hastings Cemetery.
• The cemetery is a beautiful place for a walk, is full of local history interest, has wonderful examples of the stonemason’s craft and has an abundance of plants and wildlife.
• Volunteers will be able to join specialist guided walks on any or all these aspects.
• We also plan a trip to look at some London cemeteries.
• Would you be interested in helping collate or research material for trails and information boards?
• Expenses can be claimed and opportunities for training in research funded.
