De Selvier Family p.5

Previously, in 1860, at Newton Abbot, Edward Carpentier De Selvier had also married, which would suggest he is the Jnr. mentioned above, and of the same generation as our Edward.

As do the results from the 1861 census (under surname Selvier)

SELVIER Edward D, Head of the Household, Married. And aged just 21.  (So born c.1840?  3 years before our Edward)  He is described as a Professor Of Music, born Overseas - Foreign – France and resident in Tormoham.  His wife, Elizabeth, is 24 years of age and was born in Newton Abbot.)

Back to Edward and Annie, who had three children, all born in Ireland; (all their births are recorded in the Irish records, at least twice, with mistakes in the names, e.g. Cecil Mary, instead of Cary)

Annie Lizzie Nellie De Selvier, born in Monkstown, about 1869 (1911 Census, England, then resident in Hastings)

Violet Rose Cecile De Selvier, born in Blackrock, about 1876 (1911 Census, England, then resident in Hastings)

Cecil Cary De Selvier, born (Ireland) in 1879, died 1880

London Standard, 13 Aug 1880
